My Students

My students are from a city school and many are from low-income families. Our school district is large and diverse. With such a high poverty rate in the city, many families cannot afford to buy the necessary supplies we need in our classrooms and unfortunately our school doesn't have the money in the budget to purchase these new supplies for my students.

We work together to build a community of life-long learners.

We are a school that services students in grades PK-5. Our school mission statement defines us as a school that provides a safe educational environment focusing on educating the whole child and valuing the diversity of our learning community. We are committed to cultivating student leaders who exhibit: respect, responsibility, citizenship, compassion, honesty, love, courage, humor, peace, perseverance, commitment, and humility.

My Project

We work very hard throughout the day to complete daily assignments and projects that we need an organized way to take them all home. We also receive lots of newsletters, flyers and announcements from the office that need to go home everyday. By having these mailboxes, my students can have their own compartment labeled with their name in which they can place their papers to take home.

"For every minute spent organizing, is an hour earned".

These new mailboxes are a perfect way to keep my students "take home" items organized. At the end of the day when students are getting ready to go home, instead of digging through a desk full of paper and mess, they can simply go to their designated mailbox, get their papers and place them into their backpacks. Please consider donating these new mailboxes for my students. It would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
