Magnifying Minds With STEM

Help me give my students real science materials to engage their curious minds.

My Students

One of my primary goals every year is to teach my students that their goals and dreams are unlimited and supported in my classroom. The young scholars in my class are scientists, mathematicians, authors, reviewers, historians, and more!

My classroom consists of 21 dynamic, first grade students of wonderfully diverse backgrounds.

However, as a Title-I school, many of my students do not come from experience-rich environments. That is why I aim for their classroom to be a WONDROUS place to engage!

My Project

My young students love authentic experiences and they tend to love our STEM and science centers the most. There is no doubting that hands-on investigations impact the engagement and enthusiasm my students have. Their creativity and inventiveness often astound me!

Giving my scholars real, professional lab materials will enable them to realize that their science and STEM curiosities and aspirations are not abstract, but concrete.

I am asking for a microscope so my students can learn more about the composition of the real life objects they collect. I am asking for an indoor garden kit to enable my students to grow a variety of eatable plants throughout the year. The terrarium will be used to house a new class pet and to grow tropical plants. And the lab coats will be used to identify the 'lead scientist' in my science grouping.
