This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My second and third-grade students are ready and eager to learn! Given the right tools, I am confident that they can accomplish any goal set before them.
These students come from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, but all share a common love of technology and learning.
They are excited for a new year in a new classroom with new tools to help them be successful. They beam with excitement when a new skill is mastered, and they are able to share their accomplishments with family and friends.
My Project
My ESE students need hands-on math games to increase their engagement and understanding of math concepts. These games will allow them to work in small groups and independently to increase their fluency in math operations to be successful in their regular education classrooms. The folder games will support multiple ages and concepts that we can play together and then use in centers for independent practice. The puzzles and addition locks will reinforce the skills that they have learned and will give them the opportunity to practice these skills in a fun way. I look forward to seeing the gains that they make while using these materials.
