Magnificent Magnetic Whiteboards for Kindergarten Learners
Help me give my students magnetic white boards, white board erasers and white board markers, so they can engage in a variety of interactive learning activities.
Students in my kindergarten classroom come to school excited about learning. Most of my students come from low-income families, and all the students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch. This background can mean that students’ families cannot afford to purchase needed school supplies. Unfortunately, some of the students are experiencing homelessness, which can mean that they lack items to meet their most basic needs.
My students deserve to receive the best education possible so that they are able to succeed in school and in life.
These boys and girls have such awesome attitudes, and they try their best every day!
My Project
My kindergarten students come to school each day excited about learning. They love to use materials, such as white boards and markers. It is more engaging and fun for them to do work on white boards than on regular paper. Our current set of white boards is extremely old and was given to me when I began teaching at my school. Some of them are scratched, which means it is extremely hard for the students to erase them.
I am requesting class sets of magnetic white boards, white board markers and white board erasers.
Students will use these items to practice various skills, such as writing their names, writing letters, sounding out and writing words, solving math equations and drawing pictures. The fact that the boards are magnetic means that students can use magnetic letters and numbers to practice their language arts and math skills. The erasers will ensure that students don't use their hands or sleeves to erase the boards. (This will make quite a few kindergarten parents happy!)
Thank you for taking the time to read my project idea. I really appreciate it!
