Magnificent Magnetic Letters and Board

My Students

My Pre-K classroom is most of my students first experience in a formal school setting. But to my students, it is much more than just that. It is a room full of many new things – first friends, light bulbs going off constantly, many emotions, and lots of fun learning!

My students love to move, they love center time and crave positive attention.

From the minute they walk into my classroom, I focus on building social-emotional relationships with each of my students and providing them with​ the skills to build relationships with their peers and adults.

My Project

My students this year enjoy learning and constantly are yearning for new materials, centers and games to learn their different learning goals in all subject areas. One subject area that they love as a whole group is language arts and writing.

I am requesting magnetic letters and stand-up magnetic design center so that my students can create words.

My students are constantly making connections with the letters of the alphabet to each other's names, words, and always wanting to play letter activities. The new magnetic letters and magnetic design center will give them the chance to be independent and continue to explore the alphabet. I would love to see them creating words with the letters and then writing the word with their dry erase marker. This would become a whole new revamped writing center that I know my students would fight to go work in.

Besides language arts and writing, my students love to get their hands dirty in our fine motor and science exploration centers. This is one of their favorite things to do and there has been growth in these two areas academically. With more kinetic sand and the water marbles, these centers will continue to function and stay sanitary. The construction magnetic builders will allow them to explore, innovate and design whatever they want to and explain their inventions.
