My students are in a Title 1 school. They are 99% free lunch. It is a low income area with a lot of movement between schools at no fault of the children. Our area is mostly apartments and rental homes. Some of our kiddos are labeled homeless and live in hotels. The parents struggle and work double jobs at times to make ends meet. Often they are not afforded the luxury of many things others take for granted. They come to school tired at times from being kept awake at night but still eager to learn.
My Project
These magnetic block sets will help my student during Science as well as during Social Centers. My students need these to help the get creative.
They can learn how buildings are constructed and are able to stay together.
They will be able to be social and interact with team mates while making these structures.
It is very important to their development for them to build with their hands using their imagination. They can strategize with their team mates to discover new and improved ways to constybuildings. They need to learn how to work together and share ideas with one another.
