There's a ghost in our classroom! The Ghost of Lessons Previously Taught is haunting our whiteboard! Every time we try to read the whiteboard, the faint lines of old writing distract us. Please help us replace our old whiteboard so we can clearly see what we need to---and nothing else!
Our great class is made up of 18 thriving third graders.
They love to learn and are always looking for ways to take their learning to the next level. The use of visual aids on a clean, magnetic whiteboard will grab their attention and enhance their learning.
My Project
By replacing our old, dingy, dry erase board with a clean, magnetic whiteboard, all students will be able to focus their attention on learning. Our current whiteboard is extremely distracting and poses challenges for students as they try to read the board. In addition, currently, time is lost, as tape is needed to hang visual aids on the board. The use of magnets will increase teaching time and increase the number of visual aids used. In addition to the amazing new whiteboard we have requested, our class is also asking for magnetic manipulatives. As our school switches to the common core, it is essential that students are solidifying their core learning. We have asked for magnetic graph paper, magnetic fraction circles, and magnetic punctuation marks. All of these tools will enhance our learning and aid in the transition to the common core.
While this project will have a direct, immediate impact on my 18 students, the materials we have requested are truly an investment.
