Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a third-year fourth-grade teacher in a low-income neighborhood in the Bronx. Ninety-nine percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. To enrich my students' learning, I would like to use math and word magnets that I have. I am requesting funding for magnetic wipe-and-write boards to use with these magnets. I work with many low-level students who have difficulty following directions and completing workbooks. I would like to use magnetic boards so that my students can use math manipulatives to reinforce the concepts they are studying for their state tests. Using the boards would give my kids a hands-on approach and a fresh perspective. Thank you for your time, consideration, and support of NYC's public-school kids.
