My Students

Our 85 TK/K students are thoughtful, kind, helpful, and eager to learn. Our young students are just 5-6 years old, but they come to Zoom school everyday with positive attitudes, ready to take on each day. Many students speak second languages at home and some have special needs, but all would benefit from hands-on learning. We are so proud of how they have handled and continue to handle virtual learning.

My Project

This project will put magnetic letters in the hands of 85 students, amongst 4 different classes. Our students have done well learning from home this school year. However, these materials will give them hands-on tools they really need to better understand letters, letter sounds, and how to arrange them to make words. Young students learn best by doing; magnetic letters provide them with the opportunity to physically build words with three dimensional letters. This year more than ever, students need hands-on materials.

Magnetic letters give students a three-dimensional learning tool to use at home during remote instruction.
