Help me give my students magnet activities to foster student learning. These items can easily be disinfected and given out to my kiddos for a safe and fun learning experience!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a 4th grade teacher in a high needs title 1 elementary school. Due to COVID, the way we used to teach has changed. Students can no longer share supplies, must practice social distancing, and wear a face mask. Since we cannot share supplies I am looking for STEM activities I can divide between the students to keep them engaged and loving school. These students haven’t been in school since early March and I want them to fall in love with learning even through a pandemic! Thank you so much for help! Here’s to a new year of learning pandemic style!
My Project
In fourth grade students learn all about magnetism and electricity. It has always been a favorite unit for the kiddos and myself! Unfortunately due to COVID-19, we are unable to teach this unit with hands-on activities. Having these magnet tiles will allow for me to divide the supplies so each student is able to build and explore magnets! Students will be challenged to see what they can build with magnets. Since these are plastic, they can easily be disinfected. These materials will allow for my students to enjoy STEM activities all while learning about magnetism!
