My students need hands-on activities to practice different words to enhance their reading skills during word work. Having the different tools will give the students a hands on experience to manipulate words for a deep understanding of words

My students are in second grade. Our work is greatly differentiated. In my classroom there are a wide range of skills and abilities.
My 22 second grade students are ready to face all challenges and reach for the stars to become successful in the classroom.
They are creative, clever, and love to read. Magical word work tools will help jump start our creative minds.
My Project
Everyday, we attend Daily 5 literacy centers. One of our 5 choices is "Word Work." At Word Work, students practice their spelling and sight words of the week. These supplies will help students who are struggling readers and spellers.
These magnetic letters and trays will be used by every student in our classroom.
As the students become stronger in literacy, the students will need access to the materials to have a hands on experience during word work.
Students will be engaged and will be having fun while learning how to manipulate words.
My students will be learning word parts and being able to change out prefixes and suffixes. No matter the reading level, my students will have a better learning experience.
