My Students

We work in a "Title I" charter school, which emphasizes the idea of college starting in elementary school as a way for scholars to set, reach, and believe in their goals. The school has backtracked from college, which means our young scholars are exposed to ideas and educational philosophies that they may never have been exposed to until college. This idea helps scholars learn how to succeed and gives them opportunities they may never had before. At our school we believe all scholars will not only able to attend but graduate from college.

Our scholars... are the future!

In our classrooms perseverance, hard work, and kindness are used and shown daily. Scholars are learning academically and socially how to be the best they can be, which can be transformed in and out of the classroom. Although scholars come from low income homes, they are given all the tools they need at school to become successful in today's world. Our third grade class is learning how to help create a positive, prosperous world for tomorrow.

My Project

At the end of the year the third grade will be taking a journey to Hogwarts. The books will provide each scholar a chance to read along among their classmates and teachers, as well as bring home.

Your donation will allow scholars to call a book their own.

Most of our scholars do not have access to books or literacy at home. Your donation will help us celebrate the end of the year! The books will be used for scholars to end of the year through literacy and mathematical activities corresponding with the book. As a class we will read and travel to the magical world of Harry Potter.
