Help me give my students Magic Boards. The permanently attached magnetic pen makes writing fun and simple...and the easy-to-use eraser bar lets kids clear the board in seconds—and start writing again!
My sweet first grade students come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and home situations. Some live in poverty and are English Language Learners. They are kind, compassionate, energetic children who love learning. They learn best when they can sing, create, and work together to solve problems. I strive to make our classroom community feel like a family and provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences. My students are special because they genuinely care for each other and want to see each other succeed.
My Project
Magic boards are magnetic boards that work like a dry erase board yet need no additional supplies. Students use a permanently attached magnetic pen to write, then swipe the board to erase.
These will help us during our phonics and math instruction when students are practicing writing words sound by sound or writing equations to solve word problems.
Students will use them in whole group, small group, and partner activities. The best part about magic boards is that once we have them, we don't need to purchase markers, erasers, or other supplies to go with them. Students think these boards are so cool--so learning is fun and engaging!
