Magic Mics: Wireless Staging System
My students need a wireless microphone system for performances and outdoor events.
“Movies will make you famous; television will make you rich; but theatre will make you good.”
― Terrence Mann
My elementary students are hungry for music and ready to share their new ideas with the world.
We work incredibly hard while turning our music program into one of the finest in the district. Students commit extra hours to their music education outside of school and submit non-required work for the room including written lyrics, music notation sheets, and drawings of their imaginations. They excel at project based learning where they create something new to share with everyone. They want to make a difference in the world around them.
Students and teachers will use the microphones on our many stages throughout the school year. Stages are found at our concert performances, parking lot events, Field Day on the field, and even in the classrooms. Students will present projects, read scripts for theater, and give dramatic readings of their favorite poems. We will also use the microphones as I demonstrate and teach valuable speaking skills including proper voice control and body posture. This is also helpful for cross-curriculum material including historical studies. Next year, students will combine knowledge from other areas to create musical performances based on specific eras. Students will study selected presidents of the United States and design a musical including songs from each of their respective musical periods. The microphones will allow flexible staging and production options for our massive, long-term project.
The microphone system is designed to eliminate stage clutter and allow freedom of movement.
Students, teachers, and presenters will have full access to the stage floor. This will upgrade our concert performances, create flexible options for outdoor events, and open unique experiences in the classroom. I am empowering my students through art and technology by providing the best equipment available and giving them free reign.
