My Students

My students are a very special group this year. My students missed from March 13th 2020- May 2020 of kindergarten. They all missed almost 3 months of school last year in first grade due to hurricane, floods, and a freeze.

My students have been through more than their fair share of misfortunes.

We struggle every day to break through learning barriers. There are good days, and of course the bad. We work hard every single day to be the best we can be.

Most students are displaced due to home renovation or no home at all. They come to school hungry and tired. We feed them, love them and educate them. The children are special to me every way.

My Project

My students will be able to transition from their desk to a comfy carpet where they are able to hear me read stories and not be distracted with things in their desks. They will also be able to do turn and talk with their partner, to discuss questions asked. We have many students that have a hard time seeing the promethean board. This will help them to be closer to the board and able to focus on the task at hand as well as write things down they may need.
