This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title 1 school in MA. Many of our students come from low-income homes within the city. I have 12 lovely students who suffer from a variety of neurological and developmental delays in a life skills classroom. My students love to sing, dance and have fun. My students come to school every day willing to do their best and try their hardest no matter what obstacles they face. My students will benefit from your donations and it will enable them to be more successful in the classroom.

My Project

We need this rug so that we can work to complete our reading center in our classroom. My students love having stories read to them and are working hard to begin reading to themselves!

My students are in the beginning stages of their reading and need a comfortable and fun place to engage in their learning and reading.

My students prefer to sit on a rug rather than on the floor which will be more comfortable and enhance our reading center a great deal. If the reading center is more appealing to them they will be more interested in learning to read.
