My Students

Do you remember how you felt as your teacher read books to you--the suspension, the joy, the love? The love of reading starts early in life; help me take my students on a "Magic Carpet Ride" through the world of books.

We are a 1st Grade class in a Title I School in Oregon.

Our school was built in the 1950's. Currently, we have no carpet in our classroom and whole group instruction time is spent on a cold tile floor. During the cold, rainy months, this makes concentration difficult.

My Project

The donation of this carpet will provide my students with a comfortable place for them to gather as a community of learners. This will help increase their attention during whole group instruction. The carpet will also give the students a warm and inviting place to read and learn.

Help my students develop a life long love of reading with a "Magic Carpet Ride." Donate to this project and give them a soft, comfortable and warm place to gather together as a community of learners.
