My students need a rug to sit on during instruction time in school. My students will use this not only during learning on the smart board, but also during our reading groups!
My students are a group of dreamers, thinkers, readers, talkers that are full of curiosity and love to learn! My students come from several different backgrounds and are each unique in his or her own way. They come in every day ready to learn in new, fun, and creative ways. They always have smiles on their faces coming into school.
Most of my students depend on the consistency and love that the school gives to them in his or her life.
For some, school is the only comfort, welcoming part of their life. My students are like "my kids" during the school year, in which I not only teach them, but give them the support and love that they may not receive at home like a lot of children do.
My students are eager to find new ways to learn in the classroom. They thrive on the new strategies, technology, and materials that we receive from DonorsChoose! If it wasn't for you who help classrooms in need, my students wouldn't have these terrific opportunities in the classroom! Thank you from not only me, but all of my students from the bottom of our hearts!
My Project
Students will be able to sit on the floor while learning different material on the SmartBoard. The students will also be able to spread out on the rug and do centers and activities on the floor to expedite learning and creativity. Every student learns differently and allowing them to have flexible seating is one of the most important factors that every child needs. This rug will be used daily throughout our day of learning. It will be used during calendar time, lessons, Daily Five (reading groups), math games, and several other learning styles. Every child will benefit from this rug.
