My Students

I love that my students are interested in a variety of books and magazines to read. They are open to all different genres that I have introduced them to. My students enjoy reading things that they are interested in and I want to give them more of that. Magazines are a great tool to hone in on reading skills that they will need for upper grades. They also have current events that the students can relate to in everyday life.

My Project

My students love reading a variety of genres with different topics as well. I know having magazines around in our classroom will add to the list of genres we have. It will also help them have fun in learning new ideas. By the way, there are so many ways we can practice our reading skills using magazine articles that are relatable to our everyday life. They also have current events that the kids are exposed to as well in their home life. It would make great conversation pieces because a lot of kids don’t have a place to express their feelings.
