Mad Scientists And Happy Handwriting In My TK Classroom
My students need letter, magnetic kits, writing books, and number products to learn how to write and identify letters. My students also need science kits and art supplies.
Science, writing and art, oh my! It is going to be a fantastic year for our Transitional Kindergarten classroom!
My TK class is located in a beach community of roughly 20,000 people and is comprised of 25 students ages 4 to 5.
They attend a small elementary school grades TK to 2nd grade. This is their first experience at an elementary school. They are eager to discover the world around them and love all opportunities to learn.
My students need stamp and see screens which will allow them to visually understand that letters and numbers are made of lines and curves. They will use the flip cards to trace the alphabet and numbers. With the science kits, my students will be exposed to the world of science. They will wear goggles to perform experiments mixing ingredients and learn about magnets, what they are and which items are magnetic. These lessons will all be reinforced through our art projects which is why my students will benefit from the art supplies that we are requesting.
It will be wonderful to see all of the learning that takes place in my TK classroom this year.
Kids love and remember scientific experiments the most! I also can't wait for them to learn the simplicity of letters and numbers through art projects (all of them are made of lines and curves). What a great year it will be full of learning and fun.
