Our students are part of a supportive learning community of parents, administrators, teachers, and support staff that work together to assure the success of all who enter our campus!
Kindergarten is the first school experience for many of our incoming students, and at our school we want to make sure it is one that instills a lifelong love of learning.
There is a lot to learn in kindergarten these days, and we want to make sure that we provide our students with materials and activities that ensure a high level of student engagement and meet the needs of each individual learner.
The hands-on activities in my project will meet the individual needs of my students. While some students enter kindergarten only knowing a few numbers and struggle with one-on-one counting correspondence, others are ready to move on to comparing quantities and early addition.
The Let's Go Fishing Counting Set and Number Rockets will motivate even the most reluctant learner to explore numbers and quantities.
Other students may be ready for the Spin-A-Roo counting and comparing game or even the Addition Magnetic learning boards. With these materials there are plenty of opportunities to differentiate and meet each of my students' needs.
