This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a mix of all grades in high school. I teach all students between freshman and seniors. I have two different sections, advanced photography students and beginning students. While all of my beginning students are mixed grades, my advanced students are all seniors.

All of my advanced students are extremely dedicated to photography and continue to inspire not only me, but their fellow classmates as well.

All of my advanced students have taken my class before and have learned how to capture photographs with Canon DSLRs both outside the classroom and in a studio setting. My advanced students will continue to learn more advanced skills while the beginning students are introduced to different avenues of photography.

My Project

Macro images are images showing extreme detail and close up to very small subjects. This includes the inside of flowers, bugs electronics, etc. Capturing macro images are can be very difficult. There are two ways to capture Macro images. One way is to use a very expensive Macro capable lens. The other is with Macro Reverse adapters. With these adapters the picture can appear to be closer than most macro lenses at a fraction of the cost. These adapters allow for tethering the lens controls so the lens can still focus and change to the desired aperture when capturing the image. Capturing Macro images is another type of photography students should be exposed to.
