MacBook for the Media Specialist

Help me give my students better connection to Library Land with a MacBook. Currently, when I work from home I am using a Chromebook, which continually has connection errors when trying to operate Zoom.

My Students

My library services two uniquely different schools.

The first attracts some of the most talented students in Delaware to study under experienced mentors.

Their artistic abilities range from dance and music to visuals and graphic design.

These students are hardworking, creative, and passionate, making them ideal candidates for materials to help them achieve their goals.

The seconds school is filled with young scholars, ready to change the world. They are innovative, progressive, and driven. These students need STEM tools to help change their ideas into reality.

My Project

As the media specialist, I am in continual need of communicating with the students and staff in my building and assisting them with various types of activities.

The MacBook will help me communicate with my staff and students, even while working from home.

Students will benefit from this because I will be able to conduct proper book clubs, office hours, and virtual face-to-face assistance. The best way to effectively work is over the Zoom application. I am currently working with a Chromebook, which is not efficient with the Zoom App. It continually crashes or has a slow connection. One aspect of my job is to assist with technology; I need to have properly working technology myself.
