This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are so very passionate! The love of video games and hanging out during lunch has been a very interesting gathering of students from multiple social groups.

These students are all unique and without this space, might not ever hang out outside of the Lunch Arcade.

Now imagine a space in which all those preconceived notions stop at the door. Students learn collaborative skills that will serve them well in the classroom setting, specifically working in groups with new individuals.

That is the Lunch Arcade! A gathering of students from all student groups! Hanging out, talking, building relationships... that is what it is all about! I hope to continue to provide this environment and allow students to show up and enjoy right away!
