Help me give my students new comfortable seating. One of the best things about library time is having the students sit at a bean bag chair and listen to a story. This purchase will provide new seating!
Each student is unique in their own way and full of love and energy. Being able to work with every age group at our school has provided me with a diverse set of readers. I see students who can't read and are trying so hard, but never get up. Then on the other hand I have students who are so passionate about reading they're running to the library when they finish a chapter book to find another! Reading is an adventure, and I love that I get to share my adventures with students.
My Project
Students come to the library every day and use the bean bag area. One of the best parts of the library is each student gets a comfy seat to sit at during story time. After years of students sitting on the seats, the bean bags aren't looking so lovely anymore.
My goal is to upgrade the library seating area with a few new bean bags, a nice big area rug, and some refill on chairs we already have.
It would be a surprise to every student who walks into the library and sees our new seating choices. The new area rug would give a defined reading space for the library. New bean bags would upgrade some of the old ones that are in dire need of being replaced. They would also support comfort and attention when students are reading or being read to.
