Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Why? How? What if...? These questions fly off of the tips of my inquisitive fourth-grade students' tongues.
My students are enthusiastic learners who thrive when given opportunities to learn through hands-on or exploratory activities.
Each one of my students possesses unique learning needs and my class utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, flexible seating options and small group activities to ensure that their educational experience is meaningful for them. They are motivated to achieve academic and personal growth and I feel incredibly lucky to work with such a remarkable group of bright young minds!
My Project
At my school, I run both a math and reading workshop model. When students are not meeting in a small group with me, they need engaging, rigorous center activities to ensure that they can maximize their learning at all times.
By donating to this project, you will help students participate in collaborative learning that teaches critical reading and math skills in an engaging manner.
My students have already shown that they do well when working with groups and their learning skyrockets when they are given the opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences.
