My students need pencils, pens, and paper to practice and improve their writing skills. They need expanding files and lit sorters to help keep their writing organized.
My 7th and 8th grade students are hard-working, creative learners that strive to do their best. They like to explore and create through reading and writing. We have worked very hard on our skills this year, but as with all classrooms, not everyone learns at the same pace or in the same way.
My students need a writing center & supplies to help them develop stronger skills in creating a variety of writing projects!
About 1/3 of my students come from homes that do not always have the means to buy their basic school supplies. I want all of my students to have every opportunity that their peers have. My students would love to work with new supplies and need a way to help keep them organized.
My Project
My students spend a lot of time writing. Right now, a lot of that time is spent on an electronic device. I want my students to be able to add some creativity to their writing by using good quality, fresh materials to practice and publish their writing.

New and fun supplies motivate students to practice and improve their writing. By being able to use creativity and new, fun materials in their writing, students are more likely to participate and even practice their writing on their own. The expanding file folders and lit organizers will help store and organize their writing so they can share it with each other.
