This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Ms. Allen's students are located in North Las Vegas. The interesting thing about my students is they are all in a self-contained classroom setting. What that means is my students are with me for all academic subjects: math, reading, science, social studies and English. I teach 6-8 on multiple different levels. The academic levels range from Kindergarten to fourth grade. My students are hard working and enjoy learning new and exciting things.

My Project

The materials will provide a warmth environment for my students to enjoy. The environment would increase the level of engagement and participation within the classroom. Students would love to be in the same room for all their academic subjects such as math, reading, ELA, social studies and science. The classroom is a safe place for students to learn, grow, and mistakes. Although students with special needs learn differently from any other student, they can learn to develop a growth mindset.

In addition, several of the items donated will be used for team building.

Team building activities will help my student develop their social, emotional and behavioral goals. Students will also be stimulated by their beautiful learning environment.
