My high school located in the Midlands of rural South Carolina. Our district is small, with only one high school. 75% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch, but we do not let that number define who we are. We are a close-knit community and always come through for each other.
If I want to meet a student's parents, I only need to find my way to the football stadium on a Friday night in October.

My Project
My students spend 10-20 minutes a week reading Spanish-language books and magazines. Many of the titles that I have in my current library are more difficult for students to comprehend, but this project will change that!!
I've chosen many good Time for Kids titles that my students will be able to read with confidence and ease!
The easier and more fun to read, the more likely my students are to enjoy their weekly reading time.
Young children learn language through stories and songs and, as it turns, out, so do teenagers! These books will help them acquire the Spanish language and might even teach them a thing or two about nature. :)
