My students need Play-Doh, Play-Doh, Play-Doh! They need Play-Doh Numbers Letter-N-Fun Mega Pack, Fun Factory Super set, Super tools, and Learn About Shapes and Numbers!
School has just started and I know I have a very special group of kids! What I have learned so far about them is that they are VERY hands on. Play doh is just the thing they need to jump start them into learning!
My students come from a wide range of backgrounds.
Some students are entering school for the first time and it is definitely a transition time for them. Other students are returning from last year and are now the "big kids" in the room. I have already seen my students helping each other and being a good friend. I cannot wait to see how the rest of they unfolds and what exciting adventures are in store for us. My schools climate is wonderful and I am excited to be starting another year!
My Project
I have a little bit of play-doh left over from last year, and all of my kids are obsessed with it. I would love to bring in more colors and play-doh tools to go along with it. Having play-doh letters and tools would help them learn while they are playing. It would be fun to have students in small groups working with play-doh but also working on letter and number recognition. The best way to learn is through hands on fun especially when the kids are 3 and 4 years old!
This project will make a difference in my kids lives by helping them to have fun while learning at the same time!
I cannot think of better activities that encourage communication, sharing, letter and number recognition.
