Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding." - Robert John Meehan.
I work with a group of eleven 4th grade students with a variety of needs.
Many of students come from a struggling background and need lots of visuals to learn. My students love to engage in the lesson and learn. Providing different resources for students helps level the playing field and gives them what they need to succeed.
My Project
My students have fallen in love with the Magic Tree House series of books! We started off the year with book one and have progressed through the series and the students are always excited to learn more about the adventures of Jack and Annie!
While I have most of the books in the series, I am missing some of them and they want to make sure we finish our collection.
We have also discovered that there are nonfiction texts the are linked to some of our favorite stories and would love to add them to our collection! We would love to add to our collection of this series.
