My Students
My Kindergarten students come to school each day with lots of energy ready to learn. They are a loving, high spirited group of 5 and 6 year olds. Many of my students come from low income families with lots of needs. Once they walk into my classroom, they know that they are in a safe and loving environment.
One of the many things that I love about teaching this age group is their love of learning.
They are like little sponges soaking in everything! Many of my students are starting to blend sounds and read books! I want more than anything to foster that love of reading!
My Project
I want to give my students every opportunity to become successful readers. By getting more iPads into their little hands, they will be able to make words, build sentences and read books that are on their reading level. By using iPads in a small group setting, my students will get to develop their reading skills for their individual needs.
Giving the gift of technology to children in their early years gives them a future to explore all their possibilities!
By building each step of their reading foundation, students become more successful. Technology makes learning fun and helps foster their love of reading!
