My Students

A typical day in my classroom is filled with laughter and a love of learning. We read, create, share and celebrate each other's successes. We are a community, a family. We just need the help of others to make our time in school the best possible!

I have a very diverse group of students.

Some of my students have more than they will ever need, and others don't know where their next meal will come from. I also have several English language learners. But they all have one thing in common, they love coming to school and learning new things. They love technology, science, math, and reading. They also love to create projects based on what we have learned.

My Project

One of our favorite parts of the day is when I get to read a book (or 3) to my class. This project will help me grow our classroom library and provide us with new books on varying subjects. There is a set of holiday books which will allow us to escape into literacy to help us celebrate! There is a set of character building books that will enable us to use books to solve problems or learn how to be compassionate and caring. The third book set is full of fun picture books that will allow students to expand their vocabulary and build other foundational skills!
