My students are a group of energetic 2nd graders with limitless possibilities! They are in the Chinese immersion program at our school. Half of their day at school they learn in English and half of the day they learn in 100% Chinese. They came into my classroom every day to learn in a completely different language. It could be hard sometimes but they never give up and enjoy the challenges!
Every student in my classroom is a brave champion for me!
We are a part of an inclusive school that focuses on safety, respect, enthusiasm, acceptance and responsibility. In my classroom, we encourage taking risks and embrace little mistakes we make during learning every day. We also celebrate every little win and help each other become the best we can be every day! :-)
My Project
Learning in a completely different language can be very stressful and scary sometimes. Flexible seating options, such as bean bag chairs, kids' tents, or wobbling stools can help me create a more comfortable and relaxing environment for my students to learn and perform their best.
My students are more engaged, on-task and less disruptive when they can work in various seating options instead of just sitting in front of their desks.
In my classroom, my students can have the first pick of these seating options as a reward. Hence, these flexible seating options also serve as great incentives for my students to make better choices at school.
I would like to add some giant comfy pillows to my flexible seating options for my students. With these giant comfy pillows, more of my students can benefit from flexible seatings and they will be able to learn in a more comfortable environment.
