Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our elementary school provides a high quality, valuable education to many students in the Los Angeles area. More specifically, my classroom consists of 24 second grade students that are bright, curious about the world around them, and eager to learn. The school they attend promotes lifelong learning through enrichment and differentiated instruction. They thrive on exploring subject matter in a deep and complex way.
My students work together collaboratively to share ideas, are highly motivated and always ready for a challenge!
My Project
Currently, my students present to the class about once a month. Some of these projects include poem presentations, heritage projects, famous people biographies, and soon a fictional book report and a life cycle play where all of the students will have a speaking/singing part.
The portable PA system would help my students project their voices while they deliver various presentations throughout the year.
The PA system would give the quieter students a voice as well as win the battle over the roaring air conditioning unit as it blows during the warmer months. My students prepare, plan and work too hard on their presentations to not be heard. The PA system would be a wonderful addition to enhance our classroom experience.
