My Students

I teach math to a wonderful group of middle school students who are dedicated to growing as learners. Our school uses a whole child approach, to focus on our students academic growth, but also their mental, emotional, social, and physical growth.

My students are working on building their confidence as mathematicians by developing problem solving skills, multiple strategy approaches, and using mathematical tools.

My Project

I am on a mission to help build my middle school student's organizational skills as well as their accountability. As I prepare to send my students to high school, I want to ensure that they are equipped with the ability to keep track of their own work and be responsible for their own grades.

With these classroom mailboxes, my students will be held accountable for turning in their homework throughout the week, and will have a spot in the classroom that is just for them!

My students demonstrate a higher level of focus and engagement when classroom routines/procedures are clear for them. Having these classroom mailboxes will help to establish these routines and procedures and allow the whole classroom to function more efficiently!
