Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My wonderful fourth-grade classroom always consists of a diverse group of learners. The class size is twenty-eight of which most, if not all, are English as a New Language learners. My students come from a variety of cultures, but they all have the same goal...success.
Now that the year is in full swing, I am eager to provide my students with all that they deserve.
I will have the pleasure of working with up to 30 students this year.
Due to the pandemic it is clear that my students have a lot of academic ground to make up. Additionally, that they also missed the social and emotional support that the classroom provides. My students live in a low economic, but hard-working community, one that values education.

My Project
My students are constantly creating beautiful pieces of art, writing and other miscellaneous treasures. I have created this project to showcase their work. I will use the stickers and the hooks to display the final product around the classroom. Once the work is taken down, I will use the laminating sheets to preserve their creations. Finally, I will create books filled with their work using the binding machine. As a mother of four, I want to save everything, but it just is not possible. The binding machine will provide a neat and organized way to create a compilation of each student's year in grade 4!
