My Students
I work with awesome kids who have special needs. They participate in an Early Childhood Special Education Kindergarten Program. My students have Individualized Education Plans based on their special needs such as Autism and Speech and Language Delays. They attend a public school in a high poverty district.
My students work hard and are gaining skills in the areas of math, reading, writing, social skills and language development.
My students are achieving their goals, and I am proud to be their teacher!
My Project
As one school year comes to a close, I am now thinking about and planning for another. Even though I haven't met my new crew I am excited to plan for the year ahead.
First thing on the planning list is our daily classroom celebration.
I expect my students to work hard and I want to celebrate their accomplishments at the end of every day. I would like a disco ball to use at the end of each day to celebrate all the hard work my students put in on a daily basis in math, reading, writing, language and social skill development. We are going to dance and celebrate our accomplishments. The lights will provide a fun atmosphere for our party.
I am also requesting two adjustable literature organizers to help organize our monthly tasks and activities. My students all have IEP's. I like to arrange their assignments based on their objectives. I also arrange activities based on content areas. These literature organizers will help me start the new school year off by being organized. I hope they will also help me stay organized all school year.
