Looking for Fun Ways to Engage and Inspire Students
My students need some laughs in their life. National Geographic books are well rounded with beautiful photography, clean humor, and exposure to new and unique words.
What I love about my students is that they show up ready to learn with a building full of staff that truly care about them.
We have an energetic group of super stars!
We love to laugh and learn together. We spend our time focusing on reading, with respect and responsibility. A library/ librarian can be that place/person that makes a difference in the trajectory of a student. A safe place to go and be..., a place to escape into a book or activities.
My Project
I would like new and engaging quality books like National Geographic Joke books for the students. Laughter has the power to fuel engagement and help students learn. I have noticed the students sharing the photos and jokes with each other. These books would be a used and loved to death as all the good ones are.
When teachers share a laugh or a smile with students, they help students feel more comfortable and open to learning.
Using humor brings enthusiasm, positive feelings, and optimism to the classroom.
