This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

"Ms. H, I want to be a nurse after high school." "I know I can do this " Quotes from my students when given a challenge and we face that challenge together every day in my classroom. My students are not afraid of the future. I would like them to be less afraid by expanding technology use in my room. My students will reach for the stars. I want them to reach for the stars and Chromebooks would be the scaffolding I can give to my students. My scholars all have learning differences but I don't let that stop them. Many of them are from low-income homes that do not have the advanced technology to perform academic tasks. I would like to improve their use of technology in the classroom.

My Project

Every day in my room we use paper. Having a variety of paper will allow my students to become creative. Being creative can open my students' mind to see what is beyond books. This paper will not be used for English class but Science as well. Having more resources available will allow my students to expand their thoughts to think more about the concept we are working on. This package will show my students that learning not only takes place with books but also through creativity. I like to expand what the standards are and learn how the world works
