My Students
My students amaze me every single day. Each day, these students make a decision to push themselves and do better than the day before.
These students are inspiring, hard-working, and have a strong desire to learn.
Each day is a blessing in my classroom as I spend time with them, helping them to become the best learners they can be. As they learn and grow, they become more interested in everything around them and how the world works. Their passion and desire to learn inspires me each day to be a better teacher. Oftentimes, they are teaching me, just as much as I am teaching them. I love learning from them, and I want so much to continue to see them grow and learn more every day!
My Project
My students are reluctant readers currently, and they need the motivation to help them become successful readers. I want to create an area that has a rug, bean bag chairs, stools that can be used independently or in a group. I am also requesting a floor rocking chair that will give the students an area that is inspiring and welcoming to call their own.
My students need an area that will inspire them to read and make reading fun and exciting for them.
As students flock to this new reading space, they will quickly be taken away somewhere that will allow them to be themselves, while escaping to many new worlds.
Books give students a chance to explore unknown territory, and our new reading space will give them a chance to enjoy that feeling. Without this, my students would be stuck in desks that are not as conducive to this type of learning.
