Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students are both in person and virtual right now. They are like little sponges that are eager to learn. It is so much fun to see them learn new things. You can see it when the little lighbulbs go off and they have gotten a new concept.

My Project

My students are starting to "break the code" to begin reading. They are driven by seeing each other make gains in reading; therefore, I will use the printer and printing materials to highlight students who are caught reading. I will create a bulletin board in the classroom with pictures of students are caught reading. The title of the bulletin board will be "Look Who is Reading". I will use the sweet treats to reward students when they move up reading levels. The smaller sweet treats will be used as incentives for our weekly reading assignments.
