When our students walk into the computer lab, they leave the world of pens and papers behind and enter into the world where technology is the name of the game. They are learning real world technology and applications with hour of code, google, and QR codes.
Our students' ability to master technology outpaces what we currently have on campus.
They are grasping for new technology with both hands and understand the role that it plays in our high tech future.
My Project
3D printing is the latest technology, and it is vital that schools educate students in modern production techniques. 3D printing is already being used in medicine, mechanics, architecture and even the culinary arts! Within our district, our campus administrators and our teachers have done a great job in utilizing technology. Chromebooks and iPads are already in the hands of our students but I want to give them more.
I want our students to know that they can be innovators and game changers, makers and thinkers!
I want them to know that they can be designers and builder! The sky is the limit! With a 3D printer our students will learn 3D modeling/design and be able to see their creation printed in front of them. My goal, with this project, is to expose our students to all the different careers out there that are using science and technology. I want to show them that being makers and thinkers can be fun and exciting!
