This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My student are both eager and excited about learning new and exciting things. Teaching geography and civics allows them to do so in a relative and engaging manner as they are introduced to new concepts and views they have yet to encounter.
In teaching geography and Civics it has been my experience that visual and auditory aides best serve to engage students in learning about key historical happenings as well as creating virtual learning experiences.
Students learn best when they can have access to sight and sounds of their past and current world. These capabilities allow students to create relative mental linkages that further excite their desire to learn and explore.
Whether taking a virtual tour to analyze landforms and geological cycles, to listening to excerpts from the founding documents of this nation: having the capacity to listen with ones on personal headphones allows the experience to be absorbed more precisely and purposefully.
