My Students

My students are some of the most eager learning children around! They love being read to and they get so caught up with all kinds of adventures when hearing stories. I want to know open up their world to a new type of story.

With a listening center with volume controlled headphones, my students will have the opportunity to be exposed to a whole new type of learning.

As young learners, my students need to have a strong background of nonfiction, fiction, and vocabulary that will be constructed in this listening center. This opportunity can't be passed up!

My Project

Centers are a cornerstone in an elementary classroom. Engaging centers help students learn new things, review previously learned skills, and develop social skills to help become successful in everyday life. My classroom is broken into different student chosen centers to help build their learning.

A listening center is a great way to help build relationships built on sharing new knowledge, vocabulary, and peer relationships.

By using a listening center with volume control, all of my learners can focus on what is being read to them, while helping their peers learn too! It fosters a love for reading and supports vocabulary development, while allowing each student to hear at their own volume level, blocking out distractions and hearing pronunciations correctly.

I know this will be a popular center during center choice time! Each student can hear the story and then be able to correctly execute their extended learning activity.
