My Students

My students are from a small, close-knit community in the heart of Oklahoma. Because we are a very small school, many students wear multiple hats. They are ball players, musicians, cheerleaders, etc. With each added extra-curricular activity comes more payment requirements. These students have unmatched school pride and work to excel in everything they do to make our school a better place and to keep teams going with as few students as we have in our community. They are bright, eager, and determined.

My Project

Our school is in the process of establishing a brand new color guard team to match with our marching band. Many students have made comments that they are really looking forward to this team because they don’t feel like they are involved enough, but are excited about this new endeavor! Every child should get the opportunity to experience team work and build up their confidence while making lasting friendships. These materials will be used for audition purposes and then will continue to be used as our practice flags as we learn and rehearse our marching show as a new team!
