Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from an impoverished section of West Charlotte. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch, and many don't know where their next meal is coming from when they go home.

Our school and the athletic program is an escape for the students to forget about their daily challenges they may face at home and in the neighborhood.

My students are incredibly gifted athletes that need the opportunity to shine. This opportunity can be a life changing experience for all who are involved.

My Project

Part 1, New jerseys for our boys' soccer team will help our team be able to compete in away games. New jerseys will also help build the confidence of the players. They will not only look good in the new jerseys but also feel good because they are able to don the new gear. Confidence in sports is a huge component and the addition by the help of the donors will be greatly appreciated by the team, the parents and all who come to support the team throughout the season at the games that are away from school. This project will help them LOOK GREAT and FEEL GREAT! The second part of the project will be for the shorts!
