My Students
A condition marked by misfortune and distress is the definition of a word that my student athletes face not only in the sports arena, but throughout their lives; this word is adversity. Over the years, my students have overcome adversity and surpassed many obstacles that have come in their way, growing up in inner city Kansas City, MO.
My student athletes are very successful with what we have, but I always wonder what could be if we could combine their work ethic with resources that other schools have.
My students strive to be the best day in and out. This may be difficult for some individuals seeing that we do not have a track, a full length basketball court, and only own half of the property where our football field sits.
Through all of those tribulations, we push through and our students are successful.
My Project
Our athletic department takes pride in putting a clean cut product out whether it’s on the field, court, or track. With your help, and the purchase of laundry soap, coaches will be able to keep student athletes in clean, nice looking uniforms. On a given week, a coach could wash between 30-45 uniforms twice sometimes three times a week, which can get expensive coming from the coaches own pockets. This will benefit five sport teams serving over 300 student athletes. The coaches at our school will give their last for their student athletes. Your contribution will help coaches be able to give to student athletes in other ways
