Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager little beavers! Always have something new to talk about and are always already for new learning! My class is a Special Day Class with 10 students each with their individual needs. I have students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, Other Health Impairments, Specific Learning Disability, and Visual Impairment. These students live in high poverty areas. Most of my students are bused in and all qualified for the free lunch program. But they are full of life and look forward to coming to school everyday!
My Project
The holidays are coming! As well as the flu season! These are some basic necessities for my classroom.
Our districts gives us "big" pencils for our special needs students.
They work better with thinner pencils to help with fine motor skills. We also need some bright paper for our upcoming crafts and projects! We have already gone through our current batch with our units in apples, pumpkins, spiders, and of course Halloween!
And finally... to keep us safe from the flu, we're asking for some disinfecting products! We clean our desk and chairs every day to keep our environment as clean as possible.
