This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working and are motivated to grow their skills. They predominantly come from bilingual households and reside in an under resourced urban setting. We challenge them to gain acceptance into our finest high schools.

These students are amazing!

However, being an inner city school, we do find that resources are not always easy to acquire. We have always made the best of our circumstances in spite of not always having the appropriate class supplies. We have an immense 'CAN DO' attitude!

My Project

These materials will enhance student learning by building excitement towards the life science unit that we begin the year off studying as our first topic. These materials give students the chance to explore life replicas of organs and systems that are embedded in our unit. Students are thrilled to see 3D models of what we get to learn about in the textbook.

Our lab models will make students excited about class and also serve as a catalyst for exploring careers in medical fields.

The models come apart for each student to gain insight into all the working parts in a system or major organ.
